Tips for Technical Presentations
Before creating your slides:
1. Know your audience. A presentation to upper management may differ substantially from one to peers.
2. Create your presentation’s purpose statement. Make it fit your specific audience.
3. Ask yourself, “What is ‘MUST-know’ information vs. ‘NICE-to-know’ information?” Plan to include only information each audience MUST know.
Then…you may move on to slide development. Limit the amount of information on each. Also consider including handouts and audience interaction to ensure a more lively technical prevention.
